Pope unlocks the beatification process of Archbishop Oscar Romero
Vatican City, April 22 (EFE). - The pope has unlocked the process of beatification of San Salvador Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero, killed by a sniper on March 24, 1980 while celebrating mass. This process was already opened in 1994, according to the President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.
Paglia made the announcement in the city of Molfetta, in the province of Bari (Southern Italy) during the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the death of Bishop Tonino Bello, president of the organization Pax Christi.
